The Heart Center of MetroWest and Metrowest Medical Center Announce "Cardiovascular Series"
Framingham, MA (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- MetroWest Center in Framingham today announced an innovative, educational seminar series titled 'The Cardiovacular Series' beginning January 31 at the Framingham Union Hospital's Perini Auditorium.
Open to the general public free of charge, this series of six seminars will focus on different aspects of cardiovascular disease and related topics presented by top area physicians. Dr. James Alderman remarked, "The Heart Center of MetroWest and MetroWest Medical Center are both committed to patient education and understanding of the various aspects of cardiovascular disease in the hopes of promoting greater cardiovascular health in our community." "The medical center has a multidisciplinary team of over 25 physicians and over 100 specialized nurses and technologists dedicated to delivering unparalleled cardiovascular care and our seminar series is a key part of this program", he added.
The first seminar titled, 'Understanding Cholesterol' will be given on January 31 by Dr. William Castelli at 6:00 PM and will last for two hours. Free heart healthy food will be served and free blood pressure screenings will conducted at this and every subsequent seminar. The seminars will be given every two weeks starting January 31 and will cover subjects ranging from 'Living with Congestive heart Failure' to 'Cardiovascular Disease in Women'. The series will conclude on March 13.
